My personal experience with the Black & Decker Orbit sander was wonderful. I originally bought this to sand down all of my kitchen units ready for repainting, the sander was being used for up to 8 hours a day, and it just kept pulling. I started with 120 grit paper to sand down my units, but after the first coat I switched to 200 grit to get a quality finish on my units, this worked as expected, and yielded a great effect on the wood.
Hook and Loop System for Easy Paper Changes
The included hook and loop system is terrific for changing paper, especially when you change it quite often. It instantly cuts down on the amount of time you would’ve spent messing around with various catches/securing mechanisms. Within 5 seconds, you can swap paper and be back sanding again.
Dust Sealed Switch
This is also great, I have owned many orbital sanders where dust has got inside the machine, causing it to mess around with the circuit and me having to take it apart to remove the dust or dispose of the tool. This paired with the 2-year warranty currently offered by Black & Decker provides for an amazing experience with no worrying about damage.
Random Orbital Action for High Removal Rate and Quality Finish
This, again – is just sublime. I can’t recommend this tool enough. It is one of the most accurate and fastest orbital sanders I have owned, while it may be fast – it still leaves a quality finish behind, unlike some other products.
The Sanding Paper
I believe the sanding paper that was included with my sander was 120 grit paper, which isn’t bad, but if you’ve got quite a rough surface to sand down, I’d recommend getting some 200 grit paper. The 200 grit just gets the job done a little bit quicker than the lower grit paper. However, you can buy different sanding paper and just trim it so it will fit on your sander if you find the standard paper to be too weak for your uses. I’d rate the sanding paper 8/10.
Overall Build Quality
The overall feel of the sander is excellent. It’s ergonomically designed. Hence no hand cramps when using the tool for an extended period. It feels sturdy, I have also dropped mine a few times, and this hasn’t affected the tool whatsoever. However, when applying pressure to the surface to sand, I did notice a small amount of flex within the plastic body. I’d rate the build quality of this tool 9/10.

Black & Decker BDERO100 Customer Reviews from Amazon
I checked the Amazon listing for this tool, and it is the #1 Best Seller within its category! .Especially considering the price of this product, It’s a steal. Customers find it ideal for home use.
I cannot recommend this excellent piece of machinery enough. It blasts through anything you tell it to. The only problem I found was that enclosed corners are quite hard to sand due to the circular face of the sander. But other than that, this is most definitely the best in its class,, and I highly recommend it.
