2 Stage Knife Sharpening Process
It’s simple, there is a two stage process to sharpen up your kitchen knives. The first stage is the coarse stage, grab your dull or blunt knives and pull them through this stage 3 or 4 times. Next up, we have the fine-sharpening stage, this will smoothly sharpen up the knife’s edge.
You won’t be dealing with top of the range knives using this product, but it will provide sufficient results for those more affordable day-to-day knives. If you have really old, dull knives then it is recommended that you run them through both stages of the sharpener. That way you can bring them back to life, and maximise their edge sharpness. However, if you have a knife that only needs a little sharpening, just use the second stage.
The first stage can be quite aggressive, which makes it perfect for those dull knives, but avoid using it unnecessarily. Another tip is don’t apply pressure when pulling the knife, stroke it through and let the sharpener do the work.
