Smooth and fast sanding with a 3.0 AMP Motor
I can tell you that this sander is one of the most powerful I have used, but while it possesses an abundance of power, it is still one of the most accurate orbital sanders I have ever owned. However, a large amount of power given out by this tool does allow you to get the job done quickly, without sacrificing the overall quality of the surface.
Variable Speed control dial
A variable dial to control the speed of the sander is a fantastic feature. This is the first sander I have owned, which had this added functionality, and at first, I thought I’d never use this. Still, however, I have seen it creeping into my daily workflow a lot. It most definitely comes in handy when you have an awkward area to sand, as you can slow down the sander to make sure you don’t make any mistakes. This is an absolutely great feature; it improves the quality of your sanding hugely.
Ergonomic Rubberized Palm Grip
I love the handle of this tool. The rubber is a lovely addition to the grip. It absorbs most of the vibration, allowing the user to use this tool for hours on end without getting fatigued or getting hand cramps. It is an absolute pleasure to use.
Pad Control System
This is not the first orbital sander I have seen with this functionality. However, it is becoming more and more common. The idea behind this is to allow the pad to speed up slowly upon startup, which means you’ll make fewer mistakes. Many orbital sanders instantly go straight to 12,000 OPM, and this damages the surface occasionally, meaning you’ll have to sand down more of the wood, which also means you’ll end up using more sanding discs, increasing the cost.
Overall Build Quality
The build quality of this product is excellent, guaranteed the price tag is a little higher than some of its competitors. However, it does include a lot of premium features that you won’t see on other models, such as the rubberized grip and the adjustable speed dial. Overall, you can’t fault the build quality.
