Motor
This tool features a 14.5 Amp kicking out a total of 3.5hp. This is a huge amount of power, putting it up against many gas-powered chainsaws, and in many cases – the Worx WG303.1 would exceed the power of many gas chain saws. I noticed no problems with the motor, such as overheating or it slowing down. It churns through everything.
Design
The Worx WG303.1 has a pleasing design, in terms of aesthetics and ergonomics. It sports an attractive orange and black design, with the Worx logo printed on the side of the bar. In regards to ergonomics, the handle is pure bliss to hold, especially with a tool this light. As it is electrically powered, it is much lighter and easier to handle than petrol chainsaws. In essence, this allows for precise cutting, along with the excellent balance provided by this tool; there is no competitor.
Chain Mechanism
The chain will stay tight for an extremely long time, even for the most strenuous of uses. It also will not allow the user to tighten the chain too much, preserving the life of your tool. Another great feature of the chain mechanism is the tool-less design. You can easily replace the chain without the use of any tools. The chain is also self-lubricating, providing there is lubricant available.
Chain Brake
The Worx WG303.1 also sports an excellent emergency chain brake, stopping the chain in just a matter of seconds to prevent dangerous kickback. This is excellent, and also stops the chain much quicker than many other chain brakes featured on other chain saws.
